Isaiah 1:18 Come Now
Isaiah 1:18 (KJV) Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
The LORD has provided a way through Christ for our sins to be washed away. We are to confess our sins and repent of them. Through the atoning work of Christ, our sins are forgiven. There is no sin that God cannot forgive. He sought that we come to Him.
Wool when it is dyed, the colouring cannot be removed! An impossible task made possible by God through His Christ for the matter of our sins.
Snow that is freshly fallen from heaven is pure, radiant and white, a contrast with the filth of our sins in this earthly life contrasted as scarlet, which is bright red colour. Through the blood of Christ, our sins are washed away.
Micah 7:18-19 (KJV) Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Israel has departed from the LORD, their lives have been a mockery of the true piety of life with God. But there is a way out, sins can still be dealt with.
Isaiah 1:19 (KJV) If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
May the LORD be gracious to strengthen His people. Amen.
