Psalm 108:1 Sing and Give Praise
Psalm 108:1 (KJV) A Song or Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
The psalmist sets his heart in a determined faith energised by the Spirit of God to sing and praise God. In the time of his strength, he sets to honour and exalt the Name of his God. While the Lord tarries, God willing, he sets to declare his love for his God to all that he will meet. In seeking to rest in Him, he finds great relief and stability.
He sees the power of God to set him on the path of righteousness for His Name’s sake. He takes time to search the Scriptures. He extols the guidance of God – Proverbs 14:12 (KJV) There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
Let us set our hearts before Him at the beginning of each day before we would launch into the day. Amen.
