Psalm 118:26 Blessed Be He
Psalm 118:26 (KJV) Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.
He refers to “Christ”. He came from heaven to earth, to walk the earth with the purity of heaven, with the righteousness of God, healing in His hands, upholdeth all things by the power of His words. Him, we bless. He indeed is blessed.
The priests are instructed to bless the children of Israel – Numbers 6:23-27 (KJV) Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them, The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.
The multitude and the children in the temple blessed the Lord Jesus when He came to the Temple in contrast to the chief priests and the scribes.
Matthew 21:15 (KJV) And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased,
We are blessed of the Lord Jesus as we come to Him through His Word and He blesses us on our way. Amen.
