Hebrews 4:15 We Have An High Priest

Hebrews 4:15 (KJV)  For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 

Christ is our Great High Priest. He is God, and yet He is Man. Christ too was tempted as a Man, He understands what we are going through during our testing. And He has been victorious over every temptation. Therefore He can help us.

A drunkard who was turned to Christ was tempted. In the moments of his sore distress, he called to Jesus. He could say no to his friends who brought him to join their drinking sessions. It was to the relief of his family. Each year, he squandered all the proceeds of that year’s harvest on his drinks. This year, after he came to Christ, he desperately called out to Jesus. Our Great High Priest, heard his cry and delivered him. Hallelujah!

Jesus is able to help us because He is the sinless Son of God who never sins, for there is no sin in Him and who knew no sin. We can safely call upon Him to deliver us out of every temptation. Amen.
