1 John 4:13 Given His Spirit

1 John 4:13 (KJV)  Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. 

The surest sign of God being with His people is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit when a person receives spiritual life. From that time, the Holy Spirit instructs, and guides such as one to commune with the Father through Christ.

1 John 4:15 (KJV)  Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 

God indwells in a believer through the Holy Spirit when he confesses that Jesus is the Son of God. This is the miracle of regeneration when one is born again into the family of God. When one realizes his own sinfulness and repents and come to Christ, receives this confirmation with a sense of God’s peace in the heart, and the joy of sins forgiven.

Having come to God through Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, te believer may testify – 1 John 4:14 (KJV)  And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
