Psalm 37:4 Delight Thyself in the LORD
Psalm 37:4 (KJV) Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
To delight in the LORD is to enjoy oneself in communion with the LORD. This is possible through prayer and the prayer study and meditation of God’s Word.
Psalm 104:34 (KJV) My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.
It brings joy to the heart as the psalmist’s testimony and answers to prayer.
Psalm 145:19 (KJV) He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
The God fearer’s desire is to do the will of God, his heart’s desire is God’s good will for him. What a blessing!
1 John 5:14-15 (KJV) And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Amen.
