Psalm 118:14 The LORD Is My Strength

Psalm 118:14 (KJV)  The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation. 

The man of God who depends upon the LORD finds true strength for life. He has a new song of praise to extol the LORD for His goodness. A song of deliverance, through every life’s situation. This is the blessing of faith in God. We find ourselves coming to the fountain of all goodness to be nourished time and time again.

Though the adversity seemed great, and the distress deep and sometimes sharp, there is always light walking with God. This blessing is directly found in God’s Word – Proverbs 6:23 (KJV)  For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: 

We are jolted, reminded by the blessed Spirit of the strength that is imparted to our hearts to find the way of eternal life. What privilege. Let us therefore always come to Him and find in Him our sufficiency. Amen.
