Hebrews 9:24 Christ Entered Into Heaven Itself

Hebrews 9:24 (KJV)  For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: 

The formation and establishment of Israel as a nation under God provided a visual picture of the heavenly things. The Tabernacle’s building and the Aaronic priesthood’s inauguration provided feeble pictures of the heavenly realities.

Christ’s ministry on earth and His ascension to heaven provided witness to the truth of His mission from heaven. The reality of heaven, the gift of eternal life through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, are spiritual realities that the people of God must take hold of.

Likewise, the reality of a place of judgment in hell fire is a reality that comes at a person’s death where that separation of the soul going to heaven or hell would take place – Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 

The reality of God’s Word provided assurance and comfort to His people that we shall be with Christ in eternity. Heaven is a place of eternal peace and rest for the people of God. May the truth of God’s revelation strengthen and establish the hearts of His people. Amen.
