Psalm 61:3-4 Has Been and Always Will Be
Psalm 61:3-4 (KJV) For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.
A conviction and confidence that the psalmist has concerning the protection and provision of God in his life. He blesses the LORD out of the abundance of His love and His care for him.
When the enemy comes after him, the LORD delivered him from the wiles of the enemy. He addresses the LORD as his shelter and strong tower. He was not made desolate by the power of the enemy but finds a safe refuge in the LORD.
He rejoices to extol the LORD and pledges to stay with Him. As He has been, he is assured that He always will be. Therefore, he once again reconsecrated himself to Him. Amen.
