Romans 4:25 Our Offences
Romans 4:25 (KJV) Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
How great are those, our offences against God! They are counted and culminated in our ultimate judgment and destruction. A grim picture of our fallen estate. A stark reminder of God’s displeasure.
However, those offences were paid in full by Christ. This is the truth that is brought forth by the Apostle Paul for our consideration. And lost sinners can lay claim for their justifications for sins in faith through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Romans 4:6-8 (KJV) Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Likewise, in Christ through faith, we are given the righteousness of God, even the forgiveness of our sins. Thank God for His gracious salvation. Amen.
