1 John 5:4 The Faith that Overcometh the World

1 John 5:4 (KJV)  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 

Our faith in God and His Word is precious. It enables us to overcome the world. The world with its lures and attractions, through the proper lenses of faith in the Word of God, becomes snares and distractions. We see in perspective what God have us to see.

We are shielded from the deception that this world offers. We choose to forsake the world and count our souls as precious. We will not trade our souls for any earthly gain. This is the victory that the Apostle John brings before us. This is only possible because we believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

Jesus overcame the world and bids us to receive His peace when we abide in Him whilst living in this turbulent world – John 16:33 (KJV)  These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
