Proverbs 18:10 The LORD Is a Strong Tower

Proverbs 18:10 (KJV)  The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. 

The Name of the LORD encompasses all that He is in all His perfections. His infinite, eternal and unchangeable in His Being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness and truth.

We are reminded of these 7 aspects of life when we ponder God’s attributes and its relation to us.

  • Being – Our Spiritual Birth 
  • Wisdom – Our Devotional Life
  • Power – Our Comfort 
  • Holiness – Our Purity
  • Justice – Our Hope
  • Goodness – Our Benevolence
  • Truth – Our Submission

These demonstrate how God is a strong tower wherein we find a sure refuge. In Him are safety and security. In Him, salvation and eternal life. Coming to Him, our access to Him through Christ brings great joy and restfulness for the soul indeed. Amen.
