Philippians 4:8 Think on These Things

Philippians 4:8 (KJV)  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 

Think about the things in the past year that “divided” your attention and distract your heart from God and doing His Will. Let these not distract us in this new year.

The Apostle Paul seeks that we seek God through His Word and let it saturate our hearts, fully persuade our minds and guide our actions. Let us think seriously and solemnly about what God has to say to us. Let us give Him our utmost devotion and trust and obedience.

Let us take heed to Solomon’s advice in Ecclesiastes 12:14 (KJV)  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. 

May our thoughts and actions be sanctified in Christ. Amen.
