Titus 2:13 Looking for That Blessed Hope

Titus 2:13 (KJV)  Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 

The believer in Christ, understanding the corruption that is in this life, looks forward that the Lord will return to make all things right. He yearns for the Lord to come for when He returns, He will give the believer a new corruptible and glorious body, like the resurrected body of Christ, to exist forever.

It is a glorious appearance because, at that moment, we will be changed. The dead in Christ will rise first and we who are alive will meet the Lord in the clouds in the air. It will be a time when Christ will give His rewards to His servants.

Meanwhile, while the Lord tarries, we are given the grace of God to live holily and serve Him as His witness in this present world.

Titus 2:11-12 (KJV)  For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 

May the Lord strengthen His people to do His good will, patiently awaiting our change. Amen.
