Psalm 73:23-24 I Am Continually With Thee
Psalm 73:23-24 (KJV) Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
The psalmist cherished the relationship with the LORD. His presence encouraged his heart. He doth commune with the LORD in prayer amidst his afflictions. It seemed to him that evil-doers have their way and are prospering in their evil deeds. In the LORD, he found solace and consolation. The LORD was there holding him up amidst his afflictions. As he took time to search the Scriptures, his soul was helped to behold the end of the wicked.
Psalm 73:16-17 (KJV) When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
The LORD granted him comfort to see that He is still on the throne and He would mete out justice for the oppressed of his people, therefore, they can rest safely in His care. The LORD’s guidance upon him was his mainstay as He took time to meditate on God’s Word. It strengthened his soul. This he understood to be the way by which he can live victoriously till he has run his race, to be received up to glory. Amen.
