Romans 8:1 Walk After the Spirit

Romans 8:1 (KJV)  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 

Life in the Spirit is a blessed life for there is no judgment that God will bring to such a one. And this is so because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done on our behalf to pay the penalty for our sins. When we acknowledge our sins, confess them to the Lord and receive Christ’s atoning work for sins, we are justified in the sight of God. His wrath is averted.

Having this liberty in Christ, let us choose to exercise this liberty to live by the grace of God in purity. In another passage, the Apostle Paul rightly exhorts – Galatians 5:1 (KJV)  Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. 

Indeed, when we walk in the Spirit, we shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Amen.
