Psalm 29:2 Worship the LORD in the Beauty of Holiness

Psalm 29:2 (KJV)  Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. 

Let our hearts be prayerful, and prepared as we come before the LORD in worship. It speaks of our whole demeanour of life and especially the heart, as the old saying goes, that it is in a holy and pure state of mind, reverential and humbly with due regard that we are in the presence of God.

We are to come to Him in faith, with a contrite heart, confessing our sins and finding cleansing and renewal, the blood of Jesus Christ washes away our sins – 1 John 1:9 (KJV)  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 

Let our hearts be fully attuned and focus upon the LORD as we approach Him. Let it be our spiritual posture of understanding who we are approaching, the thrice holy God. Amen.
