John 4:13-14 A Well of Water Springing Up Into Everlasting Life

John 4:13-14 (KJV)  Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

This is life with Christ, the Giver of eternal life. Being connected with the Giver of life is well illustrated as a well of living water that one may partake in and shall never thirst again.

This was Jesus’ answer to the woman at the well in Samaria – John 4:10 (KJV)  Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

She was troubled in her heart, she found that in Christ is the soul’s deepest and only satisfaction.

John 1:3-5 (KJV)  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 

John 1:9-12 (KJV)  That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
