Psalm 17:6 Thou Wilt Hear Me
Psalm 17:6 (KJV) I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.
It will be a frightening world if there is no one we can turn to for help. Men without God face that prospect. But for God’s children, our God is a present help in times of trouble. The psalmist testifies confidently and boldly that God hears his prayers and He doth incline His ear to hear his call upon Him.
There is hope for the people of God indeed with our God so nigh unto us as a prayer away. In fact, the Spirit of God that indwells us aids us in our prayer when we are at a loss for words. What a privilege to be the children of the living God.
What was the psalmist’s prayer? Psalm 17:5 (KJV) Hold up my goings in thy paths, that my footsteps slip not.
His plea was that he may be kept in the narrow way that leads to everlasting and that he be shunned from the broadway that leads to destruction. May this be our plea too! Amen.
