2 Corinthians 10:4 Pulling Down of Strong Holds

2 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV)  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 

The Christian wields the Spirit’s sword which is the Word of God in particular the preaching of the gospel for his warfare – 2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV)  Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 

And so the more we are immersed in the Word of God, meditating and praying and pondering, the more we are equipped to wage spiritual warfare against the onslaught of the opposers of God.

John 7:7 (KJV)  The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

John 15:18 (KJV)  If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

Our Lord Jesus sets for us the example and we are to look to Him for strength in every spiritual warfare – Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
