2 Corinthians 4:14-15 (KJV) Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
The doctrine of the resurrection of the saints brings great assurance and comfort to the servants of God under immense pressure due to persecution. Whether it is the course of going through ageing and sickness, the doctrine of the resurrection brings tremendous comfort and solace to suffering saints. This is our consolation. When Jesus went to the cross and suffered and died. It was the resurrection that brought joy back to the hearts of His disciples when they saw their risen Saviour.
Our Lord demonstrated that power when He raised Lazarus from the dead whose lodging was at Bethany, where He spent many happy days ministering to the family. Praise the Lord for the resurrection. Amen.
