1 Corinthians 2:12 The Spirit Which Is of God
1 Corinthians 2:12 (KJV) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Thank God for the gift of the Holy Spirit that instructs the believer into all truths, that is, to understand the message of the Holy Scriptures and to apply it for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness so he may grow to spiritual maturity.
This Spirit of God is contrary to the spirit of the world. This distinguishing factor differentiates the believer and the unbeliever, and the unsanctified believer with the sanctified believer as taught by the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:11 (KJV) For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
Thank God for the power of the Holy Spirit in convicting and transforming the believer to be more and more in the image of Jesus Christ. Amen.
