John 5:24 Passed From Death Unto Life

John 5:24 (KJV)  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Faith in Christ as He is revealed in the Scriptures is the way to everlasting life. This is the exhortation of John as he leads us to contemplate how a man can escape from the wrath of God’s justice towards sin. It is only in Christ who bore our sins and triumphed by His resurrection from the dead.

From death unto life is the miracle of the new birth, and is the beginning of spiritual life. A life that is much cherished by the living who are in Christ. This life is called life it receives life from the Source and Sustenance of life, God Himself through Christ.

Therefore, it behoves the people of God to hear the Scriptures, read and preached and prayed upon for the impartation by the Spirit of God that life-giving wisdom. Amen.
