Deuteronomy 5:29 That It Might Be Well

Deuteronomy 5:29 (KJV)  O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever! 

The making of a godly generation, where the heart is toward giving honour and glory to their LORD God is precious for Moses tells us it shall be well with them for such a generation.

The character of godliness is in fear of God, a spiritual disposition to honour Him through obedience to His Word. A will that he subdued and submitted to the authority of God. There is a clear understanding of the danger of living otherwise. There is a spiritual strength, pleading for the grace of God, to do that which is pleasing in His sight.

There is consistency and the spiritual habit formed to keep all His commandments always. A spiritual discipline developed and imparted to the next generation. Obedience is blessing and strength. Amen.
