1 Corinthians 1:21 In the Wisdom of God

1 Corinthians 1:21 (KJV)  For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

God has appointed the preaching of God’s Word to save the lost.

Romans 10:17 (KJV)  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 

Romans 10:13 (KJV)  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 

Romans 10:14-16 (KJV)  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? 

 The declaration of God’s Word seemed to be foolishness by the reasoning of fallen man’s logic but the secret of the power to save is the convicting work of the Holy Spirit when the Word of God is faithfully preached.

May His Word go forth to accomplish His goodwill for the salvation of souls and the edification of the saints. Amen.
