Psalm 28:7 The LORD

Psalm 28:7 (KJV)  The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. 

There are many things that the psalmist has to tell us about His LORD. Firstly, the LORD is his strength. He imparts strength to him when he is weary and weak. Secondly, the LORD defends him from every attack of the enemy, He is his shield.

Inadvertently, such a relationship builds dependence. The psalmist found the LORD most dependable, his heart is devoted to trusting and follow Him. As a result, he testifies that he is helped. Help comes his way all the time from the LORD.

It genders praise. His heart greatly rejoices and the joy is well-manifested in songs of praise. Indeed, God’s people have the LORD. What a blessed life! Amen.
