Matthew 11:25 Hid From the Wise and Prudent
Matthew 11:25 (KJV) At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
There seemed to be a veiling so that the mighty ones that are named in this world, our Lord addressed as “the wise and prudent” cannot see nor understand the things pertaining to the kingdom of God. Rather, it is revealed unto “babes”, helpless and vulnerable ones, who realize their need for help.
The Apostle Paul likewise said in 1 Corinthians 2:7-8 (KJV) But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Also, here the Apostle Paul shared this observation – 1 Corinthians 1:27-29 (KJV) But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.
May the Lord accomplish His purpose saving souls for His glory. Amen.
