John 1:12 Believe On His Name

John 1:12 (KJV)  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 

This is the Name of Christ. All who believe in Him, turning from their sins, find salvation. Christ gives them the power to become the sons of God. What a glorious salvation!

How precious is this salvation. There are those who will not receive Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:4 (KJV)  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 

John 12:40 (KJV)  He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. 

Nonetheless, when the glorious gospel is declared, it has the power to dispel and drive away the darkness of this world and save a dying soul.

Thank God for His grace, intervening to save. Let us therefore so forth with the gospel. Amen.
