John 17:24 They May Behold My Glory
John 17:24 (KJV) Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
The glory of Christ in His work of redemption and exaltation at the right hand of the Father and returning to receive the church to glory as the bridegroom comes to receive his bride.
More so, the Lord speaks the glory of His disciples walking with Him on earth, accomplishing the unfinished work that He has entrusted to them as a light shining forth His glory.
In His work of redemption, Christ has put aside the glory that was with Him before He entered human history in the incarnation. From His lowly birth to His humble walk upon earth fulfilling all the laws of God on our behalf and finally to be crucified on the cross as the perfect Lamb of God that will take away our sins.
Let His disciples in every age deny themselves, take up the cross and follow Him, come what may. Amen.
