Luke 15:10 Joy in the Presence of the Angels of God

Luke 15:10 (KJV)  Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

What brings joy to the heavenly hosts? Our text tells us over one sinner that repenteth.

This is the story of the lost coin which our Lord Jesus depicted to give the picture of a sinner lost in the home – Luke 15:8-9 (KJV)  Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

Always within reach of the means of grace and yet lost. Lost in the church. Lost in the Christian home. The woman made a diligent search to find the lost coin. So must we, to seek out the lost ones within. Amen.
