John 15:4 Except Ye Abide in Me
John 15:4 (KJV) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Abiding in Christ is the strength of life with God. This abiding speaks of communion and this abiding speaks of fellowship, yielding and obedience on the part of the believer.
As the branch needs nourishment and finds it in the vine, the believer’s spiritual life is sustained by the Spirit of Christ. As the branch is connected to the vine, it receives the needful nourishment and in the fullness of time, fruit will come.
As the believer yields himself to obey the Word of God as being led by the Holy Spirit, God’s blessing comes and spiritual fruit ensues. A logical flow of thought that helps the believer to understand the secret to spiritual growth. Amen.
