Luke 21:18-19 Not a Hair of Your Head Perish
Luke 21:18-19 (KJV) But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls.
Our Lord Jesus speaks to His disciples in the days leading to His coming again. It will be a come of great deception. Amidst the great turmoil of war between nations, earthquakes in diverse places, famines and pestilences, there will come also persecution and betrayal.
Luke 21:16 (KJV) And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
Luke 21:17 (KJV) And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.
Amidst much distress, our Lord assured His disciples that He would take care of their well-being. An unusual description of His care told by our Lord is that the very hairs of our heads will be kept or protected. What a great promise! May His people rest in Him and patiently wait for their deliverance. A promise not only of the preservation of our souls but also our bodies! Amen.
