John 5:24 Hear and Believeth

John 5:24 (KJV)  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

What a blessed statement of truth our Lord Jesus declared – All who acknowledge Him as Saviour receives from Him everlasting life and will pass from death unto life.

Such is the blessing of faith. Have you faith to hear the word of God and believe in Christ? Let faith arise by the Spirit’s anointing as we take hold of the promises of the gospel for salvation and sanctification and finally glorification.

There is a transition from the soul’s salvation to the church’s rapture and the shielding from eternal death.

Revelation 20:6 (KJV)  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and Christ and shall reign with him a thousand years. 

With glorified bodies, the saints shall reign with Christ on earth for a thousand years and for eternity in the new heavens and new earth. Let His people look forward to the heavenly mansion that Christ has gone ahead to prepare for us and will soon come to bring us to dwell. What blessedness! Amen.
