Psalm 36:9 With Thee Is the Fountain of Life

Psalm 36:9 (KJV)  For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. 

The satisfaction of life with God is well articulated by the psalmist who extolled in Psalm 36:7-8 (KJV)  How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. 

He is the fountain or the source of life. From Him emanates life. The very breath from our nostrils is from Him. Here is given to us the thriving picture of spiritual life. Our God is the epitome of love and kindness in the truest sense experienced. The care of God for His people is most wonderful. In Him is fullness of life.

He also lightens our life as the Apostle John declared that this life is fulfilled in the Person of Jesus Christ, the Son of God in John 1:4 (KJV)  In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 

He that hath the Son hath life! Amen.
