Romans 5:10 Saved By His Life

Romans 5:10 (KJV)  For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 

Our reconciliation with God the Father was impossible due to the broken relationship between God and man as a result of our sins. But the death of His Son made it possible because He took our sins on the cross at Calvary. In Christ we are justified, the wrath of God for sins was averted, and we are no longer enemies.

Furthermore, three days after Jesus died, He rose from the dead, conquering sin and death, giving us eternal life through faith in the finished work of God’s Son. Because of the resurrection of Christ, death has lost its stink. We have spiritual life, that blessed life of communion with God now and forevermore.

A day will come when the resurrection of the dead in Christ will be a reality. At that time, we are promised by God in the Scripture to be given a new body that is joined to the immortal soul that awaits the consummation of God’s redemption plan at Christ’s return!

Hallelujah! Amidst the weakness of this present life, there is fullness of hope for God’s dear one, because we are saved by His life. Amen.
