Psalm 119:12 Teach Me Thy Statutes

Psalm 119:12 (KJV)  Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes. 

Unless the LORD by His Spirit enlightens our understanding of His Word, it would be a vain effort in our study. Such is our need for Him as we open the Bible to read, as we prepare a Bible lesson for exhortation. It is by the blessed LORD’s mercy that His goodness comes to us as He enlightens our thoughts and opens our understaind.

The LORD’s blessing is upon those who keep His Word – Exodus 15:26 (KJV)  And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. 

Malachi 4:4 (KJV)  Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. 

May His people take time to meditate upon His Word with much prayer. Amen.
