Psalm 72:17-19 Man Shall Be Blessed In Him
Psalm 72:17-19 (KJV) His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed. Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things. And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
Not realizing the Source of man’s blessing is in the LORD God, man’s ignorance is not bliss. Nonetheless, He continues to endow him with life so that he may come to the knowledge of Him and realizing his privilege, seek Him with all his heart.
The Name of God endures from everlasting to everlasting for He only is God. It is His desire that the nations should call him blessed. For He is the sovereign LORD of the nations as the monarch of Babylon acknowledged when he testified in Daniel 4:34-35 (KJV) And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: 35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
God abased the proud monarch and he was subdued to acknowledge the God of heaven and to be blessed in Him – Daniel 4:37 (KJV) Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
More so, let His people bless Him forever. Amen.
