Luke 17:16 He was a Samaritan

Luke 17:16 (KJV)  And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. 

This Samaritan was a leper. He met Jesus with nine other Jews who were also lepers. Jesus healed them all, in particular, He healed this Samaritan. This man was thankful to the Lord, he fell down on his face at Jesus’ feet, in thanksgiving.

Luke 17:17-18 (KJV) And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

This Samaritan returned to give glory to God. Jesus saw that he had faith to believe that He was the Son of God.

Luke 17:19 (KJV)  And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

This Samaritan man has been healed both physically and spiritually. The leprosy is akin to man’s sin, Jesus is able to heal because He is God, the only Mediator between God and man. All praise to God! Amen.
