Psalm 119:11 Thy Word Have I Hid In Mine Heart

Psalm 119:11 (KJV)  Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. 

What a powerful effect the Word of God has in our hearts! It is the antidote to sin. Do we realise the potency of God’s Word, imbibed and applied? Let the psalmist bring home the truth to help us see the necessity and imperative of God’s Word to live holy lives.

And so the psalmist prayed, “With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.” (Psalm 119:10 (KJV) This is the vital combination of God’s Word and prayer in combatting sin in the believer’s life.

 May the people of God take time to hide God’s Word in our hearts and pray fervently and earnestly that His Word may take root and bear spiritual fruit in our lives for His glory. Amen.
