2 Corinthians 12:9-10 The Power of Christ
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (KJV) And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
For the Apostle Paul, the power of Christ rests upon him in the times of his weakness. In his weakness, he sought the Lord earnestly and found the fullness of strength by His enabling.
Indeed, the grace of Christ is sufficient. proportionate to the weakness that he experienced. In his trials, Christ proved Himself dependable. He was there upholding the Apostle Paul, whom He sent to do His bidding.
Though severely tried, and under great distress, the Apostle Paul was sustained by the power of Christ that proved sufficient for every trial. Let therefore His people take comfort, for there is no trial that Christ cannot see them through. Amen.
