Philippians 1:21 To Live Is Christ

Philippians 1:21 (KJV) For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

The Apostle Paul testified life for him was to live for Christ’s sake, his Lord and Saviour. He understood the price that Christ paid to save him. It is more than just this life but for all eternity. That is the weight of that salvation. He knew that the day he leaves his mortal body, he would be with Christ in eternity.

He understood and saw that it was far better to be with Christ, while the Lord tarries, while he was on earth, he fought the good fight of faith, and finally taking hold of eternal life. A most exemplary life for our emulation. The gain that he speaks of is available in Christ. Praise God for that blessed communion with his Lord that enabled him to spend and be spent.

A man of ambition for the Lord, to fulfil the Lord’s will daily. What a blessing it is to walk with Christ. Amen.
