Proverbs 19:23 The Fear of the LORD Tendeth to Life
Proverbs 19:23 (KJV) The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.
The fear of the LORD is a heart attitude of reverence and holy fear toward the LORD, for He is God. He is the Giver of life, the Creator of all living. All who love the LORD and serve Him shall abide satisifed.
This satisfaction is well articulated by the Apostle Paul in Romans 5:1-2 (KJV) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
The promise of eternal life and the taking hold of eternal life is life indeed. And the LORD Himself vouchsafe to ensure that the evil one cannot succeeded in discomfiting His dear ones. God’s people shall be protected by the LORD who abide satisfied in Him. Amen.
