Lord’s Day, Vol. 11 No. 50
Holy Bible Without Chapters and Verses
We thank the LORD for His guidance in the printing of the Holy Bible in the King James Version without chapters and verses. It will be read like a book that flows through its text from beginning to end. The demarcation for the Bible will be by the different books of the Bible. To facilitate our reading there shall be two bookmarks.
The cover will be in fine linen white with gold stamping with the words “Holy Bible” and “KJV”- Revelation 19:8 (KJV) And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
Do wash your hands before you touch the Bible.
This is a sample of the first page.
In this first print, the format is slightly less than the standard B5 Journal size at 6.75” by 9.75” or 17.145cm by 24.765cm. There are 1288 pages.
There will be two golden coloured ribbons serving as bookmarks to keep track of the reader’s progress and allow the reader to easily return to where the previous reading session ended.
An application was made for the International Standard Book Number and was approved.

Reading each book of the Bible as a whole without demarcation requires added spiritual focus and discipline. It is the prayer of the editors that it may encourage readers to search the Scriptures with greater intensity and fervour with the intent of seeing greater light without the encumbrances of chapters and verses.
This work is done as a furtherance of the good work which had begun during the Reformation: that all Christians may read the word of God, and through the help of the Holy Spirit, understand the text for what it is.
Below is the New Testament reading from The Gospel According to Matthew.
The purpose of the editors is to provide an avenue for people to read their Bible as it would be read in the early churches (without chapters and verses). This was the practice of the church till the time when Stephen Langton who was the Archbishop of Canterbury placed the chapter divisions within (1227 A.D).
God willing, the Holy Bible without chapters and verses will be launched at the church’s first Old Paths Conference on 13-15 December.
As we come to the close of the year of Grace 2023 and will soon be ushering in the year of Grace 2024, we are even closer to the Lord’s return. Let His Word be our constant guide and meditation. May His church draw strength from His Word to discern the times, hold forth the Word of Life, looking for the blessed hope, even the soon appearing of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We shall then labour no more! Amen.
Yours lovingly,
Pastor Lek Aik Wee
