Romans 8:18 The Sufferings of this Present Time

Romans 8:18 (KJV)  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

The Apostle Paul speaks of the persecution and suffering in a fallen world due to sin. And the exhortation to endurance and patience and a clear understanding of eternal life and the eternal rewards that Christ will give at His Second Coming.

Romans 8:19 (KJV)  For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

The Lord’s return would restore the world to its Edenic state.

Romans 8:20-22 (KJV)  For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

While the Lord tarries, believers have this glorious expection of the libery that Christ will give at His coming again. Christ will rule to restore true righteousness and justice upon earth.

All praise to Him. Amen.
