Proverbs 24:13-14 Wisdom Be Unto Thy Soul

Proverbs 24:13-14 (KJV) My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste: So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.

The Word of God nourishes the soul as honey and the honeycomb does for the body. Honey is good and sweet to the taste. It is likened with the knowledge of wisdom that God’s Word imparts.

The question before us is if we have found it? Have we taken time today to appropriate from the Word of God its goodness and sweetness.

We shall not be disappointed when time is spent meditating upon God’s Word. There shall be a reward from the LORD Himself and a certainty of blessing from Him. Amen.
