1 Corinthians 15:57 But Thanks Be Unto God

1 Corinthians 15:57 (KJV) But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Human woes were well articulated by the Apostle Paul when he showed the cause and effect of it in 1 Corinthians 15:56 (KJV) The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. Man transgress the standard of the law of God resulting in God’s judgment upon him and his posterity in experiencing physical death, spiritual death and eternal death – separation of the body from the soul, separation of man from God, and separation of man from heaven by judgment in eternal hell fire.

Is there no way out for dismal mankind? There is! The Apostle Paul give thanks that there is victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ – 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (KJV) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

There is cause for thanksgiving because our Lord Jesus Christ has overcome sin and death on our behalf that we might be partakers of eternal life now and forevermore. Amen.
