Romans 4:5 Counted for Righteousness

Romans 4:5 (KJV) But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Salvation does not come by any form of human effort. Rather salvation comes from God who justifies the ungodly through His Son Jesus Christ, who died on behalf of the ungodly, so that their sins are dealt with in Christ.

In this way, sins can be forgiven through Christ’s sacrifice for man’s sin. The man who trust in the merit of Christ’s atoning work on the cross is therefore counted righteous, he is right in the sight of God. God’s wrath is turned away.

Thus understanding God’s way of salvation and yielding to Him by confessing our sins, find true forgiveness. Amen.
