Isaiah 43:1-3 Fear Not

Isaiah 43:1-3 (KJV) But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.

The LORD bids His people to trust in His care and leading. He is the One that created all things included men. He has made man i His very own image. Very precious in His sight and therefore He employs His power to protect and prove us.

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

No storms and calamities of life are beyond His means to overcome and overthrow. Even the nations, mighty as they are, can be made tributaries by His subduing power.

May His people rejoice that we belong to Him and He undertakes to shield us from all evil. Amen.
