Isaiah 55:9 Higher Comprehensible Ways of God

Isaiah 55:9 (KJV) For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

God’s ways are higher than man’s ways. Just has the heavens are higher than the earth. This is to help man see God for who He is. He is the infinite in His wisdom, power, holy, justice, good and truth.

The psalmist well articulates in Psalm 77:19 (KJV) Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.

Infinite though the Lord may be, that we may understand the love of God for His people, the love of Christ for His church – Ephesians 3:17-19 (KJV) That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Amen.
