Psalm 145:15-18 The LORD is Nigh Unto All Them That Call Upon Him
Psalm 145:15-18 (KJV) The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
It is the LORD. He is the Provider. It is He Who sustains every creature on earth – thou openest thine hand and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. Therefore, literally speaking, the eyes of all wait upon Him for He givest them their meat in due season.
The psalmist is testifying of the truth that our LORD is our Provider. Let all that have life acknowledge Him. Our LORD Jesus taught us to pray – “Give us this day our daily bread.” Does not His people hallowed His Name as taught in the LORD’s prayer? The word “hallowed” means “to hold the Name of the LORD as holy, sacred, to reverent the Name of the LORD”. Why so, because He has set as apart for Himself under His special care.
Let His people acknowledge Him and call upon Him for He just and holy. There is no fear to those that trust in Him, that call upon Him. Amen.
